How much English will I find in Bucaramanga?
EF's English Proficiency Index (2025 edition) scores Bucaramanga 518, above Medellín (516), Bogotá (513) and Colombia as a whole (480). The index comes from people who chose to take EF's online test, so it does not show how much English you will meet in daily life or in a given job.
Is Bucaramanga safe?
Canada and Australia do not name Bucaramanga in their regional warnings; Norte de Santander, a different department, is on both lists.
