About this policy
This page explains what to do if a Fernshore report contains a factual error, and how to ask for a refund. It applies to Essential reports and Premium reports, which are both one-time purchases.
If a report contains a factual error
Every claim in a report shows its source and the date it was checked. If you think a claim was wrong on that date, please tell us.
To request a correction, use Request a correction in the report, or email support@fernshore.com, and include:
- which report it is
- the claim you think is wrong
- why, with a link to an official source if you have one
We will review your request within 5 business days. If we confirm the error, we will correct the report, note the change in it, and email you.
Errors and rule changes are different
Rules on visas, tax and residency change. A claim that was correct on the date shown in your report is not an error just because the rules changed later.
Reports are not updated for free when rules change after delivery.
Reports are research and general information, not legal, immigration, tax or financial advice. Please check anything important with the official source or a qualified adviser before you act.
Requesting a refund
You can ask for a refund within 14 days of purchase.
We will refund you if the report was not delivered, or if a confirmed factual error changes a key conclusion.
To ask for a refund, contact support@fernshore.com with the email you used to buy and your order or receipt reference.
Payments are handled by Link, Stripe’s checkout service and the seller of record, so approved refunds are processed through Link and it sends the refund confirmation.
Refunds go back to your original payment method, usually within 5 to 10 business days.
Cancelling a purchase in the UK and EU
In the UK and EU, consumers normally have a right to cancel an online purchase within a set period.
For digital content delivered straight away, like a report, this right can end once delivery starts, but only if you agree to immediate delivery at checkout and confirm you understand you will lose the right to cancel.
If you buy from the UK or EU, we ask for this consent before payment, with a checkbox that is not ticked in advance: “Start my report now. I understand I lose my right to cancel once the research starts.”
If you do not give that consent, you cannot start the report, and you have not paid. You can still ask for a refund if the report has an error or is not delivered.
Your statutory rights
This policy sits alongside the rights you have under consumer law. It does not replace them. Depending on where you live, these include:
- United Kingdom: your rights under UK consumer law, including for digital content
- European Union: your rights under the consumer law of your country
- Australia: the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law
- New Zealand: your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act
- Canada: your rights under the consumer protection law of your province or territory
- United States: your rights under the consumer protection law of your state
These rights cannot be excluded, and nothing on this page limits them.
If a payment is disputed
While a payment dispute or chargeback is open, access to the report is paused. If the dispute is resolved in our favour, access is restored.
