How do the day counts work for tax in Mexico and Australia?

Mexico has no day count: you are resident if you set up your home there, and with a home abroad too, its centre of vital interests decides. The ATO says you are generally an Australian resident if you go overseas temporarily and set up no permanent home elsewhere. Both can apply; ask an adviser.
